i think i really caught some superbug.

ytd i went to sgh again...
was put on a drip and given some jabs.
fever is like.. can't really control.
last night it reached 40.2 deg le.

yesterday was my 21st birthday!
can say cross a major milestone le ba..
this is like the most memorable bdae..
i kenna sore eye + fever + sore throat!

thursday
morning woke up wif puffy eyes.. sob.
put some eye drops but no use.
evening book out lu..
went to clementi snip snip cut hair.
go home and my eyes.. argh.
became super swollen and red.
friday
went to see a eye specialist at parklane
doc said its conjunctivitis..
prescribed some meds and eyedrops.
guess what? that cost $138... ^$^
after dat met bren for lan-ing..
went downtime play bf2 for 5 hrs.
den met two other friends for dinner
after which we go back play bf2..
another 2 hrs. lol.
left them at 10 plus went cine..
met hm and jean for supper.
nice to catch up after so long. =)
saturday
woke up to mum's noodles and eggs.
standard birthday breakfast. xD
met aa for "lunch" and went fusion
shoot pool..
evening fever setting in liao..
feeling like crap so went home.
sorry j and gang culdn't meet for dinner.
really p/s.. another time ya.
at night went gmas place..
den got super duper sick...
reach home was like 39.3 deg liao.
had a terrible night.
sunday
morning culdn't take it.
went to sgh to see the doc...
got a jab and pills again.
came back and slept the day away.
dinner went to gma's place..
so so much good food.. but.. ARGGH!!!

this morning i went for physiotherapy.

at night was on government service.

went to this place down orchard called..
cuscaden patio.
had a barrel of beer (4 jugs) at $55.
pretty affordable.
me, kok and clay already schemed..
to trick the rest into going to mos after dat.

but the door bitch was in a good mood.

got chopped and off we went to macs..
for a late dinner. den... as always..
bought king roberts and sat at the bridge..
drink drank drunk.
and tonight we did 2 bottles instead of 1.
the crowd at smoove was quite decent.
haha. it was fabulous.
like finding our hell gates open once again.
i loved the night man. so much fun.

oh and the hospital letter finally came. yay!
and i'm cutting down my pills.

dad told me mum's got half day leave.
got up and went wif them to ica..
collected their new passports..
and ate some disgusting food at the cafeteria.
tastes really sucky.
after that went to city hall (again).. lol.
company mum to shop for a coat...
lol. but couldn't see one she likes.
went to shoot pool with dad while mum..
er. tou tou went shopping elsewhere.
when we ended our game and found her..
she already chalked up $200+ of shopping.
nice one la. =p

this week past quite quickly in camp.
went for my medical on monday.
as expected.
the doc says i need another mri.
of my brain. for what?
to check whether i have a brain at all?
she prescribed me panadine again.
i counted. 110 tablets.. nice.
and those tabs.. can cover me for about..
a little more den 2 weeks.
thats how much pills i've been taking.
maybe thats why i feel dead.
anyway.. i was pretty free this week.
so had the chance to go thru some books.

lol. i kept laughing through it. its incredible.

anyway... lemme share wif u guys..
something about happenings in my camp.
almost every night in camp..
the canteen jie jie will come up to our level..
and set up a mini store selling food and drinks.
burgers, crab claws, fish & chips, fried rice..
and everytime she comes..
the first person to see will yell "jie jie!!".
and there will be a mad rush to buy the food.
eating the food.. actually lifts our spirits.
strangely providing encouragement.
maybe its a relief from army food.. but...
everytime i see this scene...
i can't help but remember my childhood.
staying at my late gma's bungalow
along serangoon garden way...
there would be this uncle...
who would come in a bicycle-pushcart...
he sold noodles...
and the other uncle.. who sold ice cream.
each time me and my cousins heard them coming..
our eyes will inevitably light up.
and we will pick coins from a little plastic cup...
rush out.. shouting at the top of our lungs.
worried the uncle will miss us and cycle off.
noodles were a bare 70 cents.
ice creams went at 30 and 50 cents.
those were the days.
now.. me and my cousins just occasionally..
chat thru msn. even then.. rarely.
noodles now cost $2.
ice creams go for a dollar.
and push cart stalls are no longer seen.
except for commercialized ones..
that sell ice cream at orchard and mrt stations.
so imagine my surprise...
when i moved into geylang 2 years ago.
and there is actually an ice cream uncle..
who rings the traditional bell...
in our housing estate.
catering to the residents here.. and all.
an ice cream here costs 80 cents.
not that it matters.
its just for the memories.
